You\u2019ll learn the most important steps in getting your Pix-Star frame ready to go. We\u2019ll even show you how to send your first pictures and start your first slideshow. Pix-Star\u2019s digital photo frame features extensive Wi-Fi connectivity and functionality. Many features and functions rely directly on Wi-Fi, which is why we need to get it ready as soon as possible.<br\/><br\/>Power your Pix-Star digital photo frame on and give it a short while to ready up. If this is the first time you\u2019re starting the frame up, the setup wizard will guide you through the whole setup process. For connecting to Wi-Fi, make sure you choose a network that you have full access and control over. Since digital photo frames don\u2019t have inbuilt internet browsers, you can\u2019t connect to Wi-Fi networks that require web authentication (coffee shop Wi-Fi for example).<br\/><br\/>If you\u2019ve already used the frame before, or simply need to switch to a new Wi-Fi network, go to \u201cSettings\u201d from the frame\u2019s home screen. Input the number and follow the remaining on-screen instructions.<br\/><br\/>Once you\u2019ve registered your frame, note the frame\u2019s email address and assigned password while registering as you\u2019ll need it when logging into your dashboard. Click on \u201cLogin\u201d at the top of the page and input your frame\u2019s details. This takes you to your frame\u2019s dashboard where you can control cloud storage, import photos, and remotely control any connected Pix-Star digital photo frame.<br\/><br\/>Now that your frame is registered, you\u2019re ready to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pix-star.com\/blog\/how-to-guides\/how-to-view-facebook-photos-on-a-digital-photo-frame\/\">import pictures from social media<\/a>, photo-sharing sites, and cloud storage platforms. You can also import pictures directly from your computer to your frame. This dashboard offers a great way to start slideshows and change settings remotely from anywhere in the world.<\/p> <\/li><li class=\"schema-how-to-step\" id=\"how-to-step-1628219800020\"><strong class=\"schema-how-to-step-name\">Add your frame to the mobile app<\/strong> <p class=\"schema-how-to-step-text\"><img alt=\"Pix-Star Snap mobile app add a new frame\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pix-star.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Pix-Star-Snap-mobile-app-add-a-new-frame.jpg\"\/><br\/>Download the Pix-Star Snap mobile app from either the Play Store or the App Store. This app can be used on phones and tablets and is compatible with both iOS and Android. The Pix-Star Snap mobile app lets you send photos, videos, and audio messages to any connected Pix-Star frame from anywhere in the world.<br\/><br\/>To add your Pix-Star frame to the mobile app, open the app and click on any of the sending options. Select or capture the photos\/videos you want to send to your frame and hit the send icon\/red checkmark. This will then take you to the \u201cPix-Star Frame\u201d screen. Click on \u201cAdd a Pix-Star frame\u201d at the bottom of the screen. Input your frame\u2019s unique email address and the nickname you want to assign to it. You can set the frame to ignore small pictures that don\u2019t fill enough of the screen. You can also set your Pix-Star frame to ignore older photos \u2013 or to play more recent pictures more frequently.<br\/><br\/>There are loads of customization settings for slideshows that change the speed, style, and type of transitions. You can also switch between orientations and even choose to include videos in slideshows.<br\/><br\/>Another way to adjust settings is directly inside a slideshow (without needing to back out to the main menu). Simple press the \u201cMenu\u201d button while viewing a slideshow.
